About Valencia Nomadbase and us & you

Bought an apartment + separate commercial ground floor space (big loans from bank and friends) in South-East Valencia (Nazaret neighbourhood). Apartment ca. 85m2, 3 bedrooms, fairly large Salon, bathroom, kitchen, two small balconies and fairly large roof terrace. Ground floor ca. 103m2. Both are a Nomadbase*, with some Workaway ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Workaway ), DIY, makerspace, bike co-op workshop like aspects for some Couchsurfers, nomads, guests & lots of drop by visitors. My partner/gf lives there (nearly) full time & I spend ca. 9 months per year there. Video above gives an idea, both places are constantly changing and improving as we declutter, order, and fix it up. We have many activities, see list below.

We are a group of kind friends with space for a few more that value frequent short or long IRL meetups. The Nomadbase project & related Telegram groups (for invites etc) are *not* about entrepreneurship, Big Tech, KAP/ethereal oils & crystals, Crypto/NFT/AI or "Commercial networking", sales, self-promotion of business etc. 0 Creeps zone & "Be excellent to each other"​.

*Nomadbase: "A shared living space where all inhabitants can feel like hosts or in other words: 'at home'. It is a place where the inhabitants - however temporary they may stay - feel at home, do their 'thing' and can learn and share at the same time with the other people who live there. A shared culture of participation in common activities (household and events for example) as well as mutual care among inhabitants and visitors are highly necessary for these spaces to remain sustainable."
 

We have been sharing both spaces for free or at cost for many drop-by visitors and occasionally guests (ca. 4 to 12 a year) for some days or a few weeks. We primarily host 1 person at a time, people that we know or come highly recommended by someone we really trust. The timing has to work too. We are always looking for more really kind, low-maintenance, unproblematic, reliable, together people. Persons that are positive about life and have no substance abuse or other heavy issues and that want to visit & do many fun things together in Valencia & also to tackle some DIY or organize projects in the spaces, nothing too exhausting nor long.

If you want the place as a convenient free base for your ambitious Tinder experiment(s) or to mostly crash after clubbing or going out 24/7, that is not our thing. Also please don't invite people to visit much less stay over at the Nomadbase unless you know them real well and we have okay-ed it. Be good with turning off lights and devices (ecology), double-locking front door and closing windows etc, 'tis a big city. Even if you are a -relative- stranger we don't necessarily want any (or only little) money at all for you to stay here, just some help with improving the place, especially if you are staying few days or a week ish. There is a donation jar, donations are solely used for the running costs: electricity, hot water, property tax, the €29,90 per month for fast fiber internet, domain of this site & improvements to the space. Contributing monetarily is always 100% optional, especially if you are poor and short term visiting. Helping out a little with cleaning up, organizing, DIY etc, is what we most need and love! 
We have done or been part of similar projects such as A-Flat in Berlin, many ICs, houseshares & squats around EU plus US and student organizations, dozens of times and was generally an amazing experience. If all the above really appeals, please contact us!

We are not into entrepreneurship, Big Tech, AI, Crypto, NFT, marketing nor esoteric things.
 

I am a Dutch Peruvian Chilean guy, native in English (International school) and Dutch, pretty fluent in Spanish. Been involved in the Berlin/NL, Nomadbase, Couchsurfing/Trustroots/BeWelcome, online and co-working, lefty but not PC-police Punk and squat thing for quite a while now. My partner/gf speaks more languages than I & also has extensive organizing and political experience.
